Hello World!

Well, I’ve finally broke down and started blogging. :)

I’ve been doing a fair share of tinkering recently with various technologies and wanted a place to share my experience in the hopes someone else would find it of interest.

I was actually inspired to start blogging by my friend Janet Riley. She and I used to get together semi-regularly and “geek out” by chatting about coding and technology when we used to live near each other. :) Now that we live a over an hour from each other, our geek sessions happen much less frequently than we’d like. I greatly miss our time together. :-/

I never really thought anyone would be interested in my tinkering, but I’ve been so busy with work and fatherhood that it seems like it might be a good way to keep folks updated on the interesting tidbits I occasionally find the time to stumble upon. :)

I asked my friend Chris Miles about blogging tools he recommended, WordPress was high on his list so I’m giving it a whirl. :) I created my own blog banner art and I’m not 100% satisfied with it, but for now it will do until I find the time and energy to come up with something more inventive. Although I do love a good cup o’ tea, I want something more “me” than a mere cup of tea. ;)

So, in the meanwhile… Hello World! =)
